The time of my life!

The time of my life!

It has come to an end, but I have had the time of my life…….

I wrote everyday and commented on many, so I had the time of my life…..

I read so much about others, yes it was the time of my life….

Writing became a must and was always on my mind.

The time of my life!

I heard this song and it made me think of my writing journey…..

“Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)”

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test, and don’t ask why
It’s not a question, but a lesson learned in time

It’s something unpredictable, but in the end that’s right,
I hope you had the time of your life.

So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos and memories and dead skin on trial
Through what it’s worth it was worth all the while

It’s something unpredictable, but in the end that’s right,
I hope you had the time of your life.

It’s something unpredictable, but in the end that’s right,
I hope you had the time of your life.

It’s something unpredictable, but in the end that’s right,
I hope you had the time of your life.

Being Yourself

Being Yourself

“If God had wanted me otherwise, He would have created me otherwise.” By: Johann Von Goethe

So this is me! This is what God created. As I thought about this quote today, I began to think about who I am. Sometimes we look in the mirror and wish for things we don’t see, but why??? This is who I am and what is in the inside is even better! My heart! So this is Me!

Car Buying and Mom!

Yesterday, hit another first for my mom.  My dad pretty much was the head of the household.  He worked, payed the bills, made most of the major decisions, and bought the new cars.  Well, after 72 years we were forced to take my mom into a car dealership.  My mom was in a  car accident a couple weeks ago.  Thank God she came out fine.  Her car, which was another memory of my dad, was totaled.  She had hoped to keep it the rest of her driving life.  Of course, that did not happen!

I have purchased many cars, so dealerships and spending money were not new to me.  I actually enjoy it.  Sometimes I think I could be a salesman with no problem.  I love people and chatting!  It was a bit of an overwhelming experience for my mom.  She thought it would easy and painless.  She thought cars were free.   She always drove luxury and she just thought every car was like that, but came to find out not everything is included.  It was so funny watching her as she asked for the color, the luxuries, price, etc.  Well, I felt like we spent the night there, but in the end my Mom purchased her own car for the first time in 72 years.  Wow, what an accomplishment!

Dining Out and the Check!

Yesterday’s post by Kelly Andruch inspired me to write about dining out.  I love dining out and I am not real particular on where we go.  I just love the idea that I don’t have to clean up my kitchen.  I love to cook, so that really isn’t the problem.  I just sometimes need a break.  Well, this week on Spring Break I also took a break on cooking.  We went out for some meal almost everyday.  The kids just love it too!  I am trying not to get too spoiled, but really hoping this week doesn’t end.  I think my hubby is getting tried of paying!

I really miss going out for dinner with my dad.  My dad was always the man who paid the check.  He loved buying us dinner and never let us pay.  I miss his laugh, his touch, his voice, and his wallet too.  So funny!  He was great man and loved dining out!  Yes, my mom comes out with us, but I feel guilty letting her pay.  I just love her company.

So, as I am sitting here writing this post I’m really thinking where I want to go to lunch tomorrow.  Hmm, where will it be and with who?

The meaning of Spring:

  • warm weather
  • flip flops
  • light clothes
  • sunshine
  • good moods
  • flowers begin to boom
  • time to come out of the funk
  • Easter time
  • outside sports
  • begin to cook outside
  • smell of fresh air
  • rain
  • thunderstorms
  • planting and seeding
  • green grass appears

This is what Spring means to me.  Boy have I missed you!
